2011 Summer Papermaking Workshop
Participants enjoyed a short getaway on Pelee Island to join the artist for a hand papermaking workshop at Pelee Artworks, Pelee Island, Ontario:
INTRODUCTION TO PAPERMAKING (August 20, 2011 10:00am to 2:00pm)
An Introduction to Papermaking provided by artist Collette Broeders taught beginners the basics of producing handmade paper using a variety of fibres and recycled materials. Participants were introduced to various techniques involved in hand papermaking and the creative applications they provide. Using plant fibres, recycled materials, inclusions and colours, participants produced a variety of handmade papers. All materials included. $45

I stopped in to the Pleee Island Art Works Saturday during your Paper making workshop. I have some stained glass and hand made soap at the Art Works stopped in to see if Suzanne needed anything. Sorry to have interrupted your work shop. I even made one of the photos. The paper making looked interesting. I was tight for time on Saturday but would have liked to see more. Will you be offering any other work shops? Thanks.

thank you so much for coming out to the island to give the workshop. It was very informative and much easier than I had thought it would be. I hope you can come back to give another on printmaking before the season finishes. Great photos!
