Dialogue is an ongoing series with artists, Broeders+Janzen resulting from several interactive drawing performances in various locations along with corresponding video.
“Dialogue Scroll No. 1” explored sense of place through community-engaged performative drawing and utilized text by Henri Lefebvre, ” Everywhere where there is interaction between a space, a time, and an expenditure of energy, there is Rhythm.” These pop-up performances occurred throughout conservation areas within Milton, Ontario revealing our traces of mark-making and embodied the history of place to viewers.
